Mary told us that you will need to check the foundation to ensure that it is sufficient to hold the extra weight. Also, if your newly enclosed patio is heated, you will need to be familiar with the energy code that is in effect and use energy efficient windows, doors, etc. Another thing your patio enclosure will need is exterior wall bracing to hold the walls steady.
